After a long night on Yawkey Way, I immediately collapsed on my mattress in my motel room. I awoke ten hours later to my alarm buzzing repeatedly. Mulling over the sights I could see and things I could do on my last day in Beantown, I remembered that I was only a few minutes away from the home of one of the greatest dynasties in sports, the New England Patriots.

I quickly got dressed, got something small to eat at Ihop, and made my way to the stadium. Unsurprisingly, much of the facilities were closed for the off-season. I was able to explore their museums and browse their souvenir shop.

At Patriots Place, it is much more than a stadium. They have a movie theater, and several other stores.

The price to the museum was only $10. I was surprised that the Kraft family did not charge me that much. The value of that is amazing.

The first part was a movie. You watch all about the Patriots history. It was not all Super Bowl seasons until the 21st century. Many venue changes and playoff droughts occupied the first 40 plus years of their existence.

After that there were so many exhibits when you got out of the movie. You saw a bunch of Brady’s jerseys. They had a book with all of the teams in franchise history

One thing that got my attention was they actually let you wear a helmet and jersey used in a game. You could of chose from three players. There was Tom Brady and the other person I forget exactly. I chose the Rob Gronkowski one. My favorite player aside those from the New York Giants is Julian Edelman.

You got to see actual equipment that was used in the Super Bowls. They set it up so position the person was in was replicated with a photo on the wall to show what the other players were doing.

When I was 16, I remember watching the Super Bowl when the Patriots we’re down 28 to 3. Brady had to come back 16 points. Tom Brady sent the ball to Julian Edelman on a slant route and though it was thought to be incomplete, he actually caught it. The ball never hit the ground so it was not at at all incomplete.

They had had the actual gloves he used to catch it with.

They had other numerous artifacts there that did not have to do with the game of football. They had a Patriots themed motorcycle and a boat that the players stood on during parades.

One final thing was they had all six Lombardi trophies, and a ring from each Super Bowl championship. I was surprised that for $10 I could literally be less than ten feet away from six Lombardi trophies.
